Organizing shoes in a closet can be a nightmare and frustrating. I don’t own a lot of pairs of shoes. As a stay at home, homeschooling mother, I don’t get to dress up much. Even so, I also struggle with closet shoe storage ideas. We do not have proper closet space yet, but the shoe clutter exacerbates the problem. I’ll share the shoe organizing solutions that have worked nicely for me, as well as others that I have come across.
How I went about organizing shoes in a closet
Like I mentioned prior, I do not have proper closet space yet. Everything started with good intentions, whereby I would line up my shoes on the closet floor space. It became difficult for me to keep them inline over the years. The stack-able shoe storage boxes are a lifesaver! I bought a set of 3, but rather put them on my top shelf, side by side

They proved handy for storing away sports shoes, boots, and other shoes that I am not currently wearing at this stage due to the season of the year.

I need a box or shelf for everything to be organized. This was an overall closet organization attempt, (hence the whole closet is in shambles). Organizing shoes in a closet need not be a tedious and fancy project. Grab yourself the stack-able shoe shelves and storage boxes and you are good to go.

Mine is quite basic due to space limitations. Needless to say that, the stack-able shoe storage boxes are the bare minimum, and can be nicely tucked in into any closet.

The rack makes organizing shoes in a closet easy, and efficient.
It can be hung inside the closet (using the rails) as well.
I personally would not have space for it, so the original, over-the-door functionality is sufficient.
Shoe shelves for closets
I love this permanent hack on organizing shoes in a closet. If you have enough space, you can create your own shelving, or buy ready-made shelving systems. It is, in my mind one of the best shoe closet organizers.
